Geoprocesados Uses Bluware Software to Reduce Client’s Subsurface Data Footprint by 75 Percent

HOUSTON, TX – July 28, 2020 – Geoprocesados, the exclusive representative of Bluware Corp. in Mexico since 2017, has successfully deployed Bluware Volume Data Store (VDS™) and Bluware Headwave™ on behalf of one of their most important clients to enable a complete seismic data ingestion workflow that reduces the organization’s subsurface data footprint by 75 percent.

Geoprocesados has spent the last eight years developing a comprehensive software suite, called GeosisData™, for seismic data ingestion and quality control leveraged with VDS cloud-native seismic data environment, adaptive compression, and Headwave, a powerful seismic visualization and data conditioning software. The organization successfully converted several petabytes of SEG-Y to VDS and have plans to convert additional petabytes for this client in the near future.

“The incorporation of Bluware Headwave and VDS into our modern and reliable platform accelerates the usability of seismic data without cutting corners in quality and accuracy. Our clients can experience faster and more efficient workflows remotely or on premises by selecting only the data required to complete their workflow,” says Javier Rubio, General Manager at Geoprocesados.

Geoprocesados recently joined Bluware and 149 other oil and gas organizations in The Open Group Open Subsurface Data Universe™ Forum (OSDU). Both companies are committed to the OSDU™ Forum and to the delivery of joint solutions for organizations that are interested in optimization of their subsurface data workflows and reduction of E&P costs.

“Geoprocesados’ expert knowledge of the seismic data workflow has helped us refine and improve our technology to deliver more tangible value to customers. Their products are proven and their experience is driving customer value deep into E&P workflows,” commented Michele Isernia, Vice President of Cloud Business and Strategic Partnerships Bluware.
