Wipro provides a solid foundation for customers desiring to run OSDU Azure implementations. Wipro is leading the Microsoft Azure implementation for the OSDU Data Platform including OpenVDS, an open source storage format which Bluware has contributed to the OSDU Forum. OpenVDS provides fast, random access to multi-dimensional volumetric data.

Paul De Jager, Partner of Energy Natural Resources and Utilities (ENU) at Wipro, stated “Wipro has been an early pioneer of open source based cloud solutions and we are seeing Bluware emerge as a strong player in the Petrotechnical cloud solution space. We are very excited about this partnership and believe it will deliver truly innovative technical workflows and value to our clients.”

Additional Bluware technologies such as Volume Data Store (VDS™), Flexible Access Storage Transcoding (FAST™), ScaleOut™, InteractivAI™, and Headwave™ will also be introduced on Wipro’s Azure setup for customers to implement.

“We are very pleased to collaborate with Wipro as it will enable clients to take advantage of our technologies on Microsoft Azure. Users will be able to explore the full value of seismic data without the limitations forced by data size and current interpretation software,” says Suri Bhat, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Bluware.
