John Gibson currently serves as CEO of Flotek. He spent the first 10 years of his energy career working for Gulf, now known as Chevron. Gibson’s background supports his focus on digital innovation and minimizing environmental impacts associated with energy development. He is the former President and CEO at Landmark Graphics, Paradigm Geophysical, Tervita, and Halliburton. Gibson currently serves as director of Orocobre Limited, University of Houston’s Energy Advisory Board, senior advisor to Tudor Pickering Holt & Co., a member of the visiting committee of the Texas Bureau of Economic Geology, and advisor to Cottonwood Venture Partners. Gibson earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Houston.
