HOUSTON, TX – June 30, 2020 – Bluware is delighted to announce that Matt Morris is joining our team as Director of Product Management, Geosciences, and Deep Learning.
Matt has more than 15 years of diverse industry experience in technology development and seismic interpretation on a multitude of deep water and onshore projects around the world. His areas of interest include quantitative seismic interpretation, AI-assisted seismic facies recognition, interpretation workflow automation, and risk/uncertainty analysis. Prior to his new role at Bluware, Matt worked as the senior advisor for seismic machine learning applications in Anadarko’s Advanced Analytics and Emerging Technologies group.

In his new role, Matt will be responsible for managing Bluware’s Geoscience and Deep Learning solutions, part of a portfolio of technology which includes Teleport™, Volume Data Store (VDS™), Flexible Access Storage Transcoding (FAST™), Headwave™, ScaleOut™, and InteractivAI™. These tools will allow the energy industry to cost-effectively utilize the cloud for seismic data storage, and to rapidly process interactive deep learning interpretation workflows.

Matt is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the Houston Geological Society. He holds a master’s degree in Geophysics from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Geology and Geophysics from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
